Didn't quite make it!

We drove to Indiana for Thanksgiving. We left a day early  because they were predicting snow. When we were driving in Missouri, we caught up with the snow. Fortunately, it didn't stick on the roads. We then had engine trouble with the Koach and it ended up taking us 5 days to get home. We had a GREAT time.

On the road again...

We acquired a new (to us) motorhome. We love it and can't wait to get out in it. This has been a dream for a long time. Live each day to the fullest!

Gala Night

A week ago Saturday, Keifer and I went to the Legacy Brain Foundation in Dallas. We both donated art pieces for their auction. Keifer looked so spiffy I had to post the photo.

Keri and Cate came out to visit while Kirk and Addy were here as well. The little girls got to play together. Cate is not so sure about her cousin. Cate is not too sure she wants to share her Mommy or her Nanny. We really enjoyed watching them together.

Camping Retreat

Hurricane Hannah blew through North Texas  on Wednesday while I was camping on Lake Lewisville. It cooled the weather considerably but not too much that Hunter and Brandon couldn't swim. It left me with a most beautiful sunset. I hope to be able to recreate it in a painting.

Cate brought her Mom Keri out to the campgrounds for awhile on Wednesday morning. She's going to be a true camper one day. 

Kristi brought Hunter and Brandon out to the campgrounds to spend the night with me. Kidd wanted to go swimming in the lake with them. I try each summer to take the boys camping with me. The lake is very close to their house so they can drop in. We had a ball together. Smores, smores, smores.

Cate

Here is little Cate. We stopped by today to visit with Keri and Cate. Cate was awake and loved chatting with us. She was in a very talkative mood. She is starting to laugh out loud and it is cute as can be. 

I guess we will do this in 2 steps. This is the master photo from the book. My rendition is below.

This is my attempt to paint the photo below from a book about Big Bend State Park in TX. 

Little Addy came by Saturday and Sunday for a visit. She brought her Mom and Dad with her. This is the latest shot of her. She does NOT want to eat her cereal. The bottom picture shows her favorite pose when she gets her bottle. She likes to hide her eyes while she drinks her bottle. What a cutie!!!

On Friday, June 13th we celebrated our 38th anniversary with a carriage ride around Denton, TX. We had driven in for an ice cream and the carriage was sitting out front. We decided an impulse ride was a great way to celebrate an anniversary. Mac was a Clydesdale and Liz was his driver. Wonderful time. 

Keifer's art

Keifer has painted 2 new paintings of his cancer ordeal. He was reading Job during chemo and these paintings came from those studies. We thought you might enjoy (or not) seeing what he has done. The dark one was painted first and is entitled "The Worst of My Fears". The bright one is entitled "Now My Eyes Have See You". The title of the set is Job's Journey.

Once Kidd's foot hit the snow, he turned into a puppy. He was running around like a nut. He is actually trying to play keep away with me here.

On Valentine's Day weekend, the kids were here for a visit. Brandon is very taken with his new little cousin, Addy. Here he is with me holding her.
