on the way home
In Las Cruces, NM I drove the coach down to Mesilla to look around. I parked at the visitor center and walked to the old part of town. There was a church with a park in front and shops all around the block. Neat place. You can see the little stands in the park also selling things. It was a beautiful day. After that, it was onward back to TX.

Las Cruces, NM
These are sketches I did while traveling to NM. These are my mental images of the trek through West TX on the was to El Paso. The day today was rainy so not a good day to be outside. Might as well drive. I am in an RV park in Las Cruces and the snow-covered mountains are right outside my window. Hopefully, I can capture them in my journal tonight. I even had a little sunlight trickle in the RV. Love it.

Big Spring, TX
I arrived at Big Spring this afternoon. The park is small and very graveled. No pavement at all. They do have a dog park. Kidd spent a lot of time there smelling. We met a Great Pyrenees who rides on the dash of his motorhome. Yes, he is huge and very friendly. His "Mom" was very friendly too. My neighbors are from Minnesota spending the winter in TX. They were checking out my scooter and ramp. All is well. Couldn't load pics because the internet is too slow.

Happy Holidays????
This year has been a very tough Christmas and New Year. I lost my dear sweet hubby of 39+ years to cancer. He died 2 days after Christmas and we had his service on Jan.2. It makes me very sad to hear Merry Christmas or Happy New Year. Mine were neither.
Now, I learn how to be 1 instead of part of 2. I notice when I sit alone in a restaurant and others are in groups of 2. I saw Valentine's Day clothes and decorations when shopping and realized I am dreading Valentine's Day. It is not a holiday for 1.
This is another step in life which I must now take. I didn't think I would be taking it when I was so young. I think I am young to be a widow.
Life goes on.
